Pete Doherty SentencedTo Six Months In Prison

I never thought this would actually happen!

Pete Doherty has been jailed for six months after pleading guilty to cocaine possession.

The 32-year-old was sentenced today after he was charged following an inquiry into the death of Robin Whitehead in January 2010. Pete was apart of the enquiry as it was believed he gave Robin the drugs that killed him. Robin was a filmmaker who was making a documentary about Doherty at the time.

Kate Moss's ex was previously granted unconditional bail but warned that he faced a third jail sentence due to his "unattractive" criminal record.

Sentencing him today Judge David Radford said:
"From what I have heard and what I have read there is no doubt that you are a talented and successful musician. However, you have an appalling record of committed offences of the kind for which you fall to be sentenced today."

The Babyshambles star was arrested along with friends Peter Wolfe, who admitted possessing and supplying cocaine to Robin, and Alan Wass, who pleaded not guilty to a possession charge.

I'm glad he's finally being punished for his drug use and abuse, although I'm sure he'll find a way to get out of jail early like all the rest of celebs.
