Yes it's nearly here guys and gals, the newest alternative festival to hit our shores and it's sponsored by our favourite drink... Bulmers!
Dublin is about to get it's socks rocked off this Saturday and Sunday as Bulmers present one of the coolest gigs to hit our fair city. And with temperatures set to soar to 24 degrees, it looks like this weekend will be the hottest yet.
Tickets are almost sold out for Dublin’s first boutique festival and no wonder, as the lineup is awesome! Acts including; The Flaming Lips, Wild Beasts, Erol Alkan, Jape, Aeroplane, Ham Sandwich, Colourmusic, Aphex Twin, Bipolar Empire, Jamie XX; Kormac’s Band and Solar Bears are set to rock the stage in Dublin this weekend.
The bank holiday weekend has never looked so tasty with both an apple and pear stage set up in the beautiful meadows of Ireland's Musuem of Modern Art, Dublin. The Forbidden Fruit Festival offers tonnes of entertainment for everyone.Bulmers will be everywhere this weekend! |
As well as the main stage located outside, there are also three tented areas dedicated to Pear (The Pear Shaped Stage), Berry (The Undergrowth) and Light (The Lighthouse Stage) Bulmers flavours. The “Original Stage” will also be nestled in a natural amphitheatre on the site, providing a diverse bill of live music acts appealing to music fans with the Core Bar at the centre of the site (knowing where the bar is, is always important).
Plus get your best rags on because the festival will also be showcasing Ireland's best styles in their fashion corner, with an out-door catwalk spread across one area of the meadows.
And don't worry, getting there will be easy! Bulmers has put on a free bus to bring festival goers to and from Forbidden Fruit. The 64 seater, vintage London Routemaster will provide a shuttle service to festival goers throughout the day collecting from Georges Quay and returning festival goers to Eden Quay via the POD on Harcourt Street.
Festival goers will be hopping on this vintage bus! |
I've been on the bus myself, and trust me when I say it rocks! With a vintage look and a stereo blaring alternative tunes, you couldn't ask for a better ride to this June Bank Holiday's biggest festival.
