A Gift Fit For Obama

Are you looking for the perfect Irish souvenir, want to prove your Irish heritage like President Barrack Obama did? Then I've got the perfect present for you!

Two Tipperary men, John Ryan and Jarlath Lenon have come together to create the perfect present for Irish natives, looking to mark their heritage. The businessmen have crafted bespoke wooden plaques that are 100% Irish produced.

Inspired by President Barrack Obama's visit to Moneygall, the company Lifetime Products Ireland aims to provide people with Irish ancestry, with a timeless piece to prove their heritage. The company even provided Barrack Obama with a special made piece, when he visited Ollie Hayes' pub in Moneygall.

One of the company's directors, John Ryan, told me that so many Americans are looking to prove their heritage and to trace their ancestral line:
"The idea came about when we thought about all the Irish immigrants all over the world, our own relations included."
Obama traced his ancestral line to Moneygall.

The plaque (shown above) contains a picture of the Ireland map, with your specific county highlighted, Lifetime Products Ireland will also trace your family crest and print that on the wooden plaque also.
John added that so many people all over the world have a connection to Ireland, and it's time they proudly proved it:
"When you look at the Rose of Tralee for example there are always a lot of Americans and Australian's wanting to be a part of Ireland. And St. Patricks Day is a great example, it's celebrated all over the world. Everybody who's anybody wants to be a part of Ireland."

Are there really that many Irish people out there in the world? Yes, there are. John tells me that: "30 million Americans have Irish ancestry," adding that this plaque is of great significance to Irish families all around the world: "This way people can have a memorabilia piece that will remind them where there ancestors are from."

The gift itself is a lifetime product as not only does it incorporate someone’s ancestry but it can also be passed from generation to generation without ageing due to the quality of materials and finishes being used in the product.

As well as helping others feel a sense of Irish pride, John admitted that this new company will definitely help Ireland's spiralling tourism industry, as it makes people want to visit their home towns: "This will be definitely beneficial to the Irish tourism industry." he told me.

Meanwhile, Lifetime Products Ireland, also create once off pieces for weddings, businesses and special events. Lifetime Products Ireland specialises in supreme quality hand crafted memorabilia which can be personalised to your specification. But the hand crafted wooden map is clearly their best seller at the moment.

With hundreds of people already purchasing Irish maps with their family crest for birthdays, anniversaries and weddings, it's clear that these two Tipperary men have found a niche in the Irish market.
