The Beauty Diary!

This week my task was to find some funky nail designs. I bite my nails everyday so you can only imagine how short my nails are. So I wanted to find someone who could give me innovative designs on fake nails....and I succeeded.

Let me introduce you to THE ALPHA NAIL. Tucked away in the chique Crow Street in Temple Bar. Girls can relax in a funky atmosphere while getting the funkiest nails in town.

Located inside the popular vintage store Siopella, Aoife will treat you to dozens of unique designs, including specialised Cath Kidston Manis, Sparkling Accent Nail, Leopard Print, Poka-Dot, Multicoloured prints, Cherry designs and much much more.

Emma Waldron's Sparkling Accent Nails

Already Alpha Nail is the favourite nail bar of former Miss Ireland Emma Waldron, Ireland's top photographer Lili Forberg, Fade Street star Cici Cavanagh and more celebs are lining up for the stunning designs.

So let me talk you through what the experience is like. First of all I love how The Alpha Nail is tucked away inside Siopaella on Crow Street. The vibe is so relaxing and when you are surrounded by vintage clothes, designer handbags and to die for shoes, how could a girl not be in paradise?

I left it up to the lovely Aoife to choose my design and we decided to go for a Cath Kidson Mani with baby blue and soft pink. I wear a lot of blue and pink is my favourite lipstick colour so it was a perfect match.

Surprisingly the whole experience didn't take too long. Make sure to take about a half an hour out for your day if you are getting fake nails but of course it depends on the design you want. But trust me you want to leave.

My Nails!!
So Aoife from The Alpha Nail gave me easy to use glue on nails, which is perfect for me! She started off painting on the nails with the baby blue and the soft pink, and within minutes my new nails were being transformed into a piece of art.

On the baby blue nails she painted on gorgeous tiny flowers using a dark purple, a deep green and white. For the soft pink nails she used a white nail varnish to create a poka-dot design and stripes.

I love with my new nails!!!
I have to say I had never thought that funky nails would suit me, but I'm in love. It is definitely the newest trend in nails at the moment. I love the Cath Kidston style nails I got but if you would rather have all your nails with the same design you can get leopard prints, crosses or even cherries drawn on your nails.

Like I said there are so many different designs you can ask for, and Aoife is only happy to come up with new ideas and customize the perfect nails for you.

The prices are excellent!! They vary based on the type of design and rather you use your own nails or need fake nails but you will only be paying around €20 which is amazing since the designs are so unique!

I am in love with The Alpha Nail for so many different reasons. As well as the chic surroundings and the lovely chat with Aoife, the quality of the nails and the designs themselves are out of this world.

Now is the time to start focusing your style on your nails. Funky nails can make any outfit pop, it really is the new fashion accessory, and I love it!! As well as their website (see below) you can check out all the designs right here: NAIL ALBUM.
