Gary Barlow Replacing Simon Cowell

As I reported a few weeks ago TakeThat star Gary Barlow is set to fill in for Simon Cowell on the UK's X Factor.

According to sources Gary was was officially hired yesterday alongside confirmed judge Louis Walsh. Last night a source said:

"Louis has been told he's back - and Gary is now a definite. Gary knows the business inside and out. If anyone could replace Simon, it's him."

So who is going to fill in for Little Miss Geordie Cheryl Cole? Apparently X Factor producers have been in serious talks with both Kelly Rowland and Alesha Dixon, although she is currently a judge on Strictly Come Dancing.

Meanwhile Danni Minogue has been invited back to the show but has yet to sign any contract.

I don't know about Gary, sure he is talented and knows the business inside out, but he's too much of a softie. I think Robbie Williams would have been just perfect. What do you think?

Gary Barlow To Replace Simon Cowell On X Factor?

Hmmm... I would much prefer Robbie Williams to take on this role.

According to reports Take That memeber Gary Barlow is set to take over from Simon Cowell on the X Factor. Apparently the singer-songwriter is "favourite" for the top judging role since 51-year-old Simon announced he would be ditching the show to launch the new US version.

An insider said Barlow is a shoe in:

"Gary is our favourite for the job. We are in discussions and we should have something to announce in the next couple of weeks."

Gary has appeared on the hit talent show as a mentor on a few occasions previously appeared as a mentor on the show, and apparently Simon was impressed:

"What Gary and Simon both have is an innate understanding of the music industry and what you need to succeed - that determination. Gary would be a great judge."

I really think Robbie would be better, who's with me?
